FOREX.com, Manchester City FC Team Up for Charity Causes

We have grown accustomed to talk of numbers and financial data when it comes to one of the world's leading Forex brokers – FOREX.com, but today we'll take a look at the activities of the US company from a rather different angle. FOREX.com today announced the launch of a joined initiative with the Manchester City Football Club that will see Forex trading and sports combine to contribute to a charitable cause.

From February 26, 2014, until May 11, 2014, Vincent Kompany – the captain of the football club, will be trading with a FOREX.com account aiming to raise funds for two charities: SOS Children's Villages and BX Brussels.  Many of you must be familiar with what SOS Children's Villages are and how vulnerable these kids are – there's nothing surprising then that Kompany takes the cause so close to his heart. BX Brussels is a lower league Belgian team, and the money raised will support the future sports stars.

Kompany will trade on a real account with an initial balance of $25,000 – the proceeds from his trading will be split between the two charities. You must be wondering how he managed to learn to trade so fast – in fact, he is yet to learn to trade Forex. In his journey, he will be helped by FOREX.com's  Kathleen Brooks. And now you must be asking one more obvious question – what happens if he loses all of the money? Well, fellow traders, this does not necessarily have to happen, given that football and Forex trading share many characteristics, including the need to prepare, analyze and execute. Second, FOREX.com guarantees a minimum contribution of $50,000.

Those willing to monitor the fortunes of Vincent's account are welcome to visit the mcfc.forex.com website. The combo of Kompany's efforts and FOREX.com generosity and expertise is a part of a wider campaign of the broker and the football club, called “Where Football Meets Trading”. All fans of MCFC who visit the page will have access not only to the latest information about their favorite players but will also be able to get to know more about online trading. All this comes in the form of entertaining and highly interactive content - like a quiz that shows what type of a trader one is.

The campaign marks a great step in the continuation of the partnership between FOREX.com and MCFC of which we first informed you in the summer of 2013. As we know, the team-up of trading and sports has proven to be robust. And we see that not only from brokers' partnerships with soccer teams – like the one of Alpari and West Ham, but also from numerous sponsorship deals of F1 teams
