Bitcoin Forex Brokers

Nowadays the interest in cryptocurrencies is very high, and especially in “the digital gold”, Bitcoin. Officially launched by mythical person Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008, this virtual currency entered the world of legitimate Forex trading in 2013.

As purchasing Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies can sometimes be a very complex and risky process, you could buy it in the form of a contract for difference (CFD). That is why an increasing number of brokers launch CFD trading in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies lately.

As with any CFD trade, the underlying asset (Bitcoin, in this case) is not traded itself. Instead, you simply speculate on whether the its price will to move up or down without any actual crypto-currency trading hands. Thus, investors who trade CFDs on Bitcoin do not actually own any crypto-currency, avoiding many of the potential difficulties and risks associated with it – they don’t have to get a bitcoin wallet, to trade via an exchange, etc. Plus, they don’t have to invest that much money, as they could use leverage, which increases their buying and selling power by providing them with virtual capital.

Nonetheless, you should be aware of the risks involved in Bitcoin CFD trading. Namely, Bitcoin is much more volatile than standard currencies, as it doesn't have such deep, established market yet and is prone to big swings in value from one large sale or purchase. That is why most brokers have set maximum leverage levels for bitcoin trading which are significantly lower than the ones for forex trading.
