Ethereum Forex Brokers

The cryptocurrency economy has grown massively lately. Bitcoin price has almost tripled during the past year and now keeps hitting new all-time highs. Ethereum has also undergone a significant increase in value since its launch back in 2014.

Invented by Russian-Canadian programmer Vitalik Buterin, Ethereum (ETH) is the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. However, since it is not a traditional currency, access to it is a bit complex and it might involve some dangers that do not occur with traditional financial assets. Luckily, there’s a way to trade in digital currencies, Ethereum included, without actually buying them. It’s called CFD trading and it has certain advantages.

As with any CFD trade, the underlying asset is not traded itself. Instead, the buyer and seller agree to pay any difference as its price rises or falls. Thus, investors who trade CFDs on Ethereum do not actually own any digital currency, avoiding many of the potential difficulties and risks associated with it – they don’t have to get a cryptocurrency wallet, to trade via a crypto-exchange, etc. Plus, they don’t have to invest large amounts of money, as they could use leverage a tool that increases their buying and selling power by providing them with virtual capital.

On the other hand, you should take into consideration that Ethereum, like all cryptocurrencies, is a highly volatile asset and trading in it involves significant risk. Besides, even though the Ethereum platform is encrypted, it is still exposed to hackers, which of course affects its price. For example, in 2016, a hacker stole $50 million worth of Ether from the platform.

You can find a list of Forex brokers offering Ethereum CFD trading below. All of them also offer CFDs on Bitcoin and some have also included digital currencies in their product portfolio.
