FCA Regulated Forex Brokers

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the successor of the Financial Services Authority, which for a long time was Britain's single regulator for all financial services providers. In April 2013 the FSA was split into two separate agencies – the aforementioned FCA and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA), which will be in charge of overseeing larger financial organizations like banks and insurance companies.

Forex brokers fall under the scope of the FCA, which stands for protecting the consumers and investors, ensuring a stable and sustainable state of UK's financial industry, and promoting healthy competition between service providers. To achieve this, the FCA has been granted rule-making, investigative, and enforcement powers.

In case an FCA regulated broker go bancrupt, its clients are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Forex traders are entitled to receive 100% the first £30,000 + 90% of the next £20,000, but no more than £50,000 in total.
