FXPro's SuperTrader - New Social Forex Trading Platform?

In case you have visited the website of leading forex broker FXPro recently, you could not have missed a big announcement about the upcoming launch of SuperTrader: a text message tells us that trading is changing and then there are the clocks for the countdown before the start of whatever SuperTrader is. In this article, we're voicing our hypothesis that SuperTrader is a brand new social Forex trading platform by the broker. Let's look at our rationale for this supposition.

We start by saying that this would be the perfect addition to the line-up of products and services that the company has introduced to its clients. FXPro was among the pioneers to introduce cTrader - this happened in the autumn of 2011, and in December the same year, the broker launched cAlgo, the algorithmic trading application that goes along with cTrader. For fans of industry's favorite child MT4, the broker offers this platform too – in various versions. The common feature of both platforms is the strong affinity towards automated trading and robots in particular – no wonder then that in May this year, the broker offered its clients Forex Quant, the technology that allowed building of one's own trading strategies using a drag-and-drop method, and in June, the FXPro Library for robots for cTrader and MT4 came to life.

What more could the broker add to this line-up of trading opportunities? We say that after such a hard push into the field of emotionless (and may be flawless) machinery, the broker might be looking to the human side of Forex trading and could be offering its clients a social network. Think about it – the SuperTrader could be alike the SuperComputer. As a SuperComputer harnesses the capabilities of numerous computers, the SuperTrader may combine the capabilities of numerous traders.

But you may still be doubtful about the plausibility of our hypothesis – after all, developing of a social trading platform requires plenty of efforts and could hardly pass hidden and unnoticed. Guess what – FXPro has not been hiding the fact that it's working on such an innovation. In fact, a press release dated June 25, 2013 says that “FxPro is currently developing a revolutionary mirror trading platform that will allow their clients to copy the trades of leading signal providers”.

We have less than a week to check whether our hypothesis is true – and we cannot wait to find out.

The opinions in this article are purely subjective and hypothetical. FXPro has not revealed any official information about SuperTrader.
