IronFX's New Solution Allows You to Develop Expert Advisors

IronFX, the Cypriot Forex and CFD broker, has just launched a new solution to its clients that allows them to construct their own expert advisors (EAs) in a graphical environment.

You may be asking yourselves now what is so special about the IronFX EA Builder (as the new product is called) that gives it an edge over the embedded capabilities in the Metatrader 4 platform, which permit users to construct scripts and robots using its MQL4 language. Well, there is no contradiction between what the MT4 offers and what the IronFX EA Builder does – ultimately, the strategy that you construct with the EA builder will be converted into a script in the MQL4.

The main perk of the new product is its graphical user interface: it replaces the traditional gazillion of lines of code with attractive menus and icons.

Once you launch the program, you'll see a fairly ordered working environment: to build your own strategy, all you need to do is to drag and drop trading blocks from the library (on the left), choose amid a set of options, determine values of parameters and connect the trading blocks. That's it. Afterwards, the program will generate the script from the graph and you can install on the MT4 and start trading.

One important thing to note here is that although the company claims that you should have no prior knowledge of programming to use the EA Builder, I strongly disagree. Although the graphical interface makes programming way easier and more intuitive, some basic knowledge in this respect is necessary.

Now, let's discuss pricing: the EA Builder is available for free to all clients of IronFX whose account balances amount to at least $5,000. For the rest of us, there is a free-trial period of 10 days, but afterwards you either update to the full-license version or loose access to the product.

IronFX is not the first Forex broker to introduce a solution that allows graphical programming of trading robots. In May, we informed you of the launch of FXPro Quant, which permits clients of FXPro to construct their own EAs thanks to a simple drag-and-drop technology. And even earlier, in April, Dukascopy surprised programmers via the introduction of Visual JForex, which permits its clients to build automated strategies for the broker's own platform JForex.

Obviously, the access to the world of automated trading is getting easier for the wider audience. You only have to choose your path.
