Coinage Exchange Review - Is getcoinage.com scam or safe cryptocurrency exchange?

Coinage Exchange is a UK based cryptocurrency exchange in development, which plans to launch a mobile trading platform with a wide variety of coins.

Coinage also promises the platform will support algorithmic trading, which will definitely be a plus in the highly volatile cryptocurrency market.

Coinage Exchange Advantages:

Wide range of coins

Coinage aims to be a leader in margin trading, including short selling, on a wide range of altcoins, not just Bitcoin, Ethereum or Ripple. In addition the Exchange says each and every pair will have “a regulator-approved, asset backed stablecoin as a base currency” - feature, which should provide greater stability in turbulent markets for both customers and the exchange.

The news is great and yet we are not sure what that “regulator-approved, asset backed stablecoin” will be, as the crypto currency market is still very young and unregulated.

Mobile platform with an automated trading option

Coinage Exchange says it will offer its clients an innovative mobile trading platform, that will have the option for algorithmic trading along with the ability to service high frequency traders. This is great news as well and we will be waiting for the launch to test the platform first hand.

No withdrawal fees

Coinage Exchange says it will not take withdrawal fees and that is another good news.

However, we do not know what the trade fee will be. Have in mind that with most crypto currency exchanges the trade fee is around 0.20 to 0.25%, while some, when are trying to attract new customers, take no trade fee at all.

Coinage Exchange Disadvantages:

No information if fiat currencies will be accepted

Coinage Exchange website dose not tell us if this will be an entry level crypto currency exchange –  whether they will accept payments in fiat currencies such as USD or EUR, or not. Still, as we understand, customers will be able to trade coin to coin directly.

No information about payment methods either

We still do not know if Coinage Exchange will accept payments with credit cards and e-wallets, such as Neteller, Skrill and PayPal or just with a bank wire.

No information about the leverage

We still do not have information, if Coinage Exchange will offer its clients leverage. On most crypto exchanges you can not trade with leverage. Exception make just a few exchanges, mostly in Japan, where the leverage is 1:3.

On the other hand you can always enjoy leverage with forex brokers, offering CFDs on crypto currencies like Bitcoin or Ripple. Here you can check our list of brokers, offering CFDs on Bitcoin:

>>Bitcoin Forex Brokers<<

Still, have in mind that trading CFDs on crypto coins (CFD stands for Contract For Difference) does not mean you are owning the coins, so if you just want to purchase some Bitcoins, a crypto exchange is the right place for you.

Conclusion:

Coinage Exchange is a new cryptocurrency exchange project, which promises an interesting mobile trading platform and the opportunity to trade a variety of coins without withdrawal fees. We will check their website regularly and will update this review when the service is launched.

Still, we should note that as the crypto market is still relatively young and unregulated, investing with crypto exchanges comes with some risk and if you want to avoid such risks, better choose one of our regulated brokers, offering CFDs on Bitcoin and other crypto coins:
