FxPro Unveils a Forex VPS Service for Its MT4 Clients

FxPro has good news for its MT4 customers today: the broker is introducing a VPS service, powered by BeekFX VPS, a leading provider of such services.

VPS, or a virtual private server, is a remote server where you can store your MT4 Expert Advisors (EAs) and keep them running even when your computer is switched off or you're experiencing troubles with your internet connection. Many traders choose to use a VPS service to get that extra level of protection and avoid the risk of losses incurred due to technical issues.
Another great benefit of VPS services is that it offers you way lower latency (in the case of FxPro – between 1 and 5 milliseconds) – virtual private servers transmit your orders faster than your computer. The lower the latency, the higher the chance your orders are executed at the most competitive price. In other words, the VPS service helps you reduce the negative impact and unnecessary costs caused by slippage.
The advantages of VPS don't end here, here's a few more just to give you an idea how useful it is:
- VPS doesn't reboot on its own, however you can reboot it independently if you wish to do so;
- BeekFX's VPS is extremely reliable – it runs on high-end servers and has multiple networks feeding it;
- with VPS, your Expert Advisors can run uninterrupted around the clock; etc.
Now that we've seen the edge that VPS adds to your trading, let's talk money. There's not much to say here, really – FxPro will only charge you $30/month, which is on the lower end of the range for this kind of services (the standard rates vary between $30 and $50 per month).
This number drops to $0/month, if you're a VIP client of the brokerage. Becoming a VIP at FxPro is simple – all you have to do is trade and trade a lot as the VIP treatment is offered to handpicked traders of high net worth and/or to clients who trade very large volumes.
Looking at the bigger picture, today's news confirms the fact that Expert Advisors and automated trading have been the apple of FxPro's eye these days: the launch of the VPS service follows the broker coming up with the Quant tool for building automated trading strategies, and the introduction of a library for MT4 and cTrader EAs. We hear that a proprietary mirror trading platform is the next thing we will see coming from the broker, so stay tuned!
