ZuluTrade's Third Most Followed Forex Trader: Indiplus

Today we'll be exploring Indiplus – a Chinese signal provider on social Forex platform ZuluTrade who has been gaining popularity lately. In fact, he currently occupies the third place in the ranking of ZuluTrade's SPs in terms of number of followers: the count of people copying the signals of Indiplus now stands at 2,148, which ranks him just below Russia's First Eagle and two places below another trader from China – tianxiahui98. Rather interestingly, Indiplus has not that much capital entrusted by his numerous followers – it's at modest $262,219. The profit is not that big either – and yet, followers are increasingly starting to copy the signals of this SP.  And this has sparked our interest in him.
Let's look at the trading strategy first – this Chinese SP trades solely with the EUR/USD pair and seeks to make use of pull backs. Let's recall that pull backs are brief reversals in trends. This is why the strategy of this trader can be defined as a very short-term one. The positions are kept open for a very short time and the take-profit level is quite tight – we are talking about a couple of pips in the usual case. That is why the size of profits is a rather small one.
For that matter, let's mention that the average pips per trade equal 4 pips, which shows that the trading is system is very unstable and the size of your gains will be affected by spreads and slippage. Moreover, slippage is a harsh problem with social trading networks. Note, please, that the Forex brokers that allow copying the signals of Indiplus with the lowest slippage are FXDD Malta (around 0 pips), AAAfx (0.7 pips) and FXCM UK (1.3 pips).
The trading is calm with one position kept open at a time, by the way – the trader is not very active. Since the launch of the account on April 10, 2013 (that's like a year of data), there have been only 93 trades conducted. The profit generated from this trades is humble at 339 pips. On the brighter side, the profit curve is nicely rising.

The maximum drawdown is very low at meager 87 pips and the history shows that it has been low since the launch of the account – now, that is something that could be attracting the followers. The small drawdown, as you know, translates into negligible risks of losses but also into a small requirement for an initial deposit to copy the signals of a trader. For Indiplus, the minimum deposit is at $19 – the lowest we've ever seen. OK, now we get why the funds entrusted to this SP do not form a large pool, as we noticed in the beginning of this article.
But you must be curious about the size of the gains and losses that this SP brings to his followers. The number of live followers is not that big at 75, which is a bit odd – after all, this trader does not require such a big investment. Anyway, the majority of traders made profits, while only one suffered a loss. The size of the single loss is $5 – a negligible amount, but the size of the profits is not big either – the biggest one is of $68. Apparently, the slippage and spreads are eating heavily into the gains.
This said, I think that Indiplus appears to be a good SP for those who'd like to start investing on Zulu with a small sum. If you want to copy the signals of this trader, don't forget to be careful about slippage and spreads. And have patience, plenty of patience, as this one threads slowly through the Forex market. Copy wisely, fellow traders!
