XM Introduces Forex VPS Service for Fans of Automated Trading

XM, the Cyprus-based Forex broker, has just announced the launch of a VPS service for all of its clients who are fans of automated trading, and expert advisors (EAs) in particular.

As you know, the abbreviation VPS stands for “virtual private server” - a remote hardware which allows you to trade safely with expert advisors on the Metatrader 4 (MT4) platform. As the VPS provides hosting of these programs, you no longer have to worry about connectivity issues or power outages. Nowadays, the popularity of VPS solutions has grown along with the growing use of EAs and many Forex brokers have sought to offer their clients such a service. For a comprehensive list of these brokers, have a look here.

However, XM promises some exquisite features – thanks to the firm's partnership with software services provider Beeks FX, the clients of the broker can now rely on a high-quality solution. By the way, the name of Beeks FX is renowned in the Forex industry – the company has already teamed up with leading companies from the sector like FXCM and FXPro to offer traders VPS services.

But you must be curious about the particular characteristics of XM's VPS. For openers, you can rely on a Windows 2012 server with 1.5 GB RAM and 20 GB of hard drive capacity and this is not the end to it, as the VPS will actually be located near (only 1.5 km away) from XM's data center in London. The connectivity is based on optical fiber, which says a lot to those who have experienced the difference between making use of Internet with copper wire and optics. Amid the advantages of optical connection is the lightning fast speed of data delivery, lack of electromagnetic interference, and, of course, high bandwidth, with the latter allowing transmission over long distances without any disturbances.

XM's MT4 VPS service will be free for clients of the broker with account balances of at least $5,000 and trades of more than 5 lots (turn round) per month. The good news is that the service is available for other traders too – only for a monthly fee of $28. And if you decide to make use of XM's VPS offer, don't forget to sign up for it in the Members Area.
