Take ThinkForex's Quiz and Get a Free MacBook Air or iPad

Feb 04 2013

If you have been checking out our news regularly, then you probably know that the Australian broker ThinkForex has a thing for Apple devices and likes to give these away. And while up until now brokers were only required to open a live account, make a deposit and possibly trade a bit, this time ThinkForex is upping the ante and introduces the ThinkForex Traders Challenge™.

The prizes, as you might have guessed, are again Apple gadgets: MacBook Air's, iPad's with Retina display and iPad Mini's are all up for grabs in this promotion.
So what do you do to win? First off, complete ThinkForex's quiz. It consists of 12 questions, which could be answered in about 5 minutes (or maybe 7, if you're a slow reader). The difficulty level is not that high and the questions cover topics like the forex market in general, leverage, margin, Japanese candlesticks, etc. – all things that you should know before you start trading. If you're having difficulties completing the quiz, you can always refer to ThinkForex's trading tutorials, I myself find them to be nicely structured and quite useful.
Once you've successfully completed the quiz, there's a few more things you need to do:
1. Open a live account.
2. Opt in for the promotion. To do so, send an email to [email protected] and specify the code of the device you would like to get: MBA22013 for MacBook Air, IPA22013 for iPad with Retina display, or IPM22013 for an iPad Mini
3. Fund your account with at least 1,000 currency units, depending on your account currency (or JPY 100,000 if your account is in Japanese Yen). The deposit must be made between February 1 and February 28, 2013.
4. Complete the required trading volumes (see them below).
5. When you complete the requirements above, send an email to [email protected] to claim your prize. The subject of the email should read “Claim My Free Apple Device” and the message itself should contain your account number and the device you are claiming.
If you already have an account with ThinkForex, simply skip the first step and proceed to steps two through five.
Here are the trading volumes that you should achieve in order to claim the prize:
MacBook Air
- 1,000 standard lots for Standard Account holders;
- 1,050 standard lots for Pro Account holders.
iPad with Retina display
- 600 standard lots for Standard Account holders;
- 650 standard lots for Pro Account holders.
iPad Mini
- 550 standard lots for Standard Account holders;
- 600 standard lots for Pro Account holders.
If I have to be dead honest with you, these trading reqs seem a bit harsh - after all, I can purchase an iPad Mini for about $350, which would be a risk-free transaction (the same cannot be said about trading 600 standard lots, though) - but if you are trading anyway, then I see no reason why you shouldn't take advantage of this promo. Good luck!

ThinkForex Traders Challenge™ Terms and Conditions

- The money deposited for the promotion must stay in the trader's account for 60 business days from the day of the deposit. If the money is withdrawn earlier, the trader is no longer eligible for the free device.
- Traders must opt in for the promotion within 7 business days of making the eligible deposit.
- Only trades kept open for 2 or more minutes will be taken into consideration for the trading requirements.
- The trading requirements must be completed within 60 calendar days of the qualifying deposit.
- Qualifying traders will be issued gift cards to purchase the desired Apple device.
