Software developer MetaQuotes announced today a partnership with Fintech company oneZero for launching a connectivity gateway for MetaTrader 5 integration with Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NYSE:IBKR). The solution will enable MT5 brokers to access stocks, futures and other exchange traded instruments on the largest global exchanges, included in the leading U.S. broker’s products portfolio.
In fact, via oneZero Hub, MT5 brokers will gain access to 15 out of 20 largest exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the London Stock Exchange (LSE), the Hong Kong Exchange (HKEX), the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (NYSE) and others.
In addition to securities and futures, the new solution resulting from the partnership between MetaQuotes and oneZero, will also allow trading in forex, CFDs, and precious metals. The full list of the products enabled via the new gateway to MT5 is available on the website of Interactive Brokers.
Furthermore, the solution will also enable connected brokerages to perform some corporate actions on MT5 automatically – for example, to accrue dividends from particular securities for all traders who have open positions on that security.
The main advantage of this new venue is that MT5 brokers integrated with Interactive Brokers will be able to deliver access to multiple exchanges via a single connection. This is yet another enhancement to the platform, which has lately undergone numerous upgrades. In July, the MT5 was equipped with a new tool for analyzing exchange markets and earlier in March, hedging option was finally added to it. Cyprus-based FXTM was among the first brokers to adopt the latest version of MetaTrader 5, which already includes hedging.
MetaQuotes, oneZero and Interactive Brokers have been closely collaborating, in order to support the increased demand for MetaTrader 5 Gateway connectivity.
