O-Systems Launches a Binary Options Social Trading Feature

Feb 04 2013
For the past few years, the Forex trading world has been getting more and more dynamic and competitive. Brokers are constantly vying for traders attention, adding new features and tweaks to their platforms. Social trading especially has become quite the thing – and no wonder, since nowadays people who have no Facebook or Twitter account are about as hard to find as altruistic lawyers and flying elephants.
Really, it was only a matter of time before social trading entered the binary options trade as well. O-Systems, one of many binary options providers, has just announced that its platform is soon to become the first binary options trading platform to offer social trading. The official launch of the social trading feature is expected to be on February 15th
This is a pretty smooth move for O-Systems, considering how many fans social Forex trading has throughout the world. Why not take advantage and bring it into the binary options trade, too? The idea behind the feature is that, by being able to follow and copy the trades of specific traders, even beginner traders who have no idea what they are doing will find the binary options trade more accessible and easier to understand.
The feature will not only allow traders to see and copy others' orders (both “live” and “limit orders”), it will also store information on a trader's gains, profit/loss ratio and followers. This will make it possible to make a deeper analysis of trades. This should make it even easier for newbies to understand the binary options trade and quickly become experts. Also, for those who prefer to do thing the lazy way and just copy others' work, the top ten traders in the community will be highlighted. Who they are will be calculated by a complicated formula with a bunch of variables, none of which we really need to know. Suffice it to say the ranking is based on their performance.
As I already said, O-Systems aren't exactly entering uncharted territory here – social trading has been a part of Forex trading for some time now. Zulutrade and Collective2, for example, are two networks that have been offering social trading for years now. Forex social trading networks, however, tend to support a number of brokers and have a set of criteria for traders who want to be followed or copied. O-Systems, on the other hand, currently has only two brands ( and, and another four are listed as “Coming soon” on the O-Systems website (PLAY-MARKETS, EOPTIONZ, TRADE60SEC and OPTIONSLOT), which I personally find somewhat limiting. Also, there are no criteria for copying trades – all a trader needs to do before they can be copied is join the community. Still, social binary options trading is young (newborn, in fact), and I'm sure that we will soon see TradoLogic and SpotOption, the two largest binary options solutions providers, catch up with this trend.
