How Much Do eToro's Best Gurus Earn Per Month?

Being a Guru on eToro's OpenBook can be quite the profitable occupation. And yet, really good signal providers with followers well in the thousands have every right to feel they haven't exactly been done justice. Why? Well, because eToro has an upper limit on the amount you can earn per month, no more than $10,000. Some would say, yes but ZuluTrade also has one. Indeed, it does, but get to that $1,000,000 ceiling first and we'll talk again – it's virtually impossible.

Such contemplations bring us to today's topic. We'll be taking a look at eToro's payment conditions for Gurus and why is it that all of the network's best traders get the exact same compensation, to the very last cent, for the signals they provide.

Nothing has changed on OpenBook's top 5 chart of most copied Gurus since last time we wrote about it, nothing important that is. The leading crew is the same and they're all keeping the very same positions. Malsolo from Spain is still holding first place although he's lost a few of his copiers. Santoshtiwari at third place and Dmihaylov at 5th have also suffered some losses in this respect but those can hardly be considered significant. Second-ranking Caraj51 and fourth-ranking AnasSleiman, on the other hand, have managed to increase their disciples. But why am I telling you this? Well, because your compensation for being a Guru on OpenBook is calculated based on the number of copiers you have...to a certain extent. There comes a point when you've become so good and have attracted so many people to your side, that eToro decides there's no need to stimulate you any further, at least not financially.

This moment is when you reach 1,001 followers. Then you hit the $10,000 peak and stop getting paid for any additional users that might want to copy your trades. So what this means is that Malsolo with 8,782 followers gets just as much money as Dmihaylov with 2,172 or asma266 with 1,002. Talk about fairness. Currently, fifteen Gurus on OpenBook receive commissions equal to $10,000, all of them with greatly varying number of followers.

And nonetheless, your monthly compensation with eToro seems to be more of a sure thing than with ZuluTrade. There's a clear-cut table of the different payment categories so you know what you're getting in beforehand:

Number of copiers – corresponding remuneration. With ZuluTrade, on the other hand, you'll be getting paid per standard traded lot, you'll have to be careful not to lose more than 700 pips per month or you won't see your money at all and so on. Just for the sake of stability, eToro might be worth the sacrifice.
