$6,000 for the Winners of FxPro's Myfxbook Contest

Last month we saw quite a number of demo contests organized by Forex brokers, all offering some very attractive prizes – XEMarkets gave a prize pool of £8,500 to the three top demo account traders in its LSE Forex Demo Contest, and $5,500 was offered up for grabs in ForexRazor's "Excel Markets Forex Trading Contest March 2013". Now, we have another new, exciting trading competition, this one organized by social trading network Myfxbook and sponsored by top-notch Forex broker FxPro. The prize pool offered is $6,000.

The competition is the latest in a long line of similar events organized by Myfxbook and sponsored by Forex brokers (like OANDA, who funded the previous one). Like any other demo contest, the objective here is simple: trade as hard as you can for the entire duration of the contest period (which is from 8:00 AM GMT on May 1 until 8:00 PM GMT on May 31), make as much profits as you can and win real money. The $6,000 prize pool will be distributed to the three accounts with the highest balance as follows:

- $3,000 for first place
- $2,000 for second place
- $1,000 for third place

Registration for the competition is already open, and at the moment of writing 171 participants have signed up. If you wish to join their ranks, you need to open the myfxbook.com website and make yourself a Contest demo account provided by FxPro. Your account will be funded with $50,000 virtual money which can be traded with a maximum leverage of 1:500. Of course, you will have to wait until the contest starts to begin trading. Once the competition period is over, all open positions will be terminated. If you are one of the winners, your prize will be funded into your account, and will be eligible for withdrawal two days later. Obviously, this means you will have to provide entirely correct personal details (first and last name, email, etc.) when submitting your registration to Myfxbook. Otherwise, you will not be able to receive your reward.

The contest rules hold some good news and some bad news for US residents. The good news is, they are free to enter and compete. The bad news is, they will not receive any prizes for their trouble. So, if you live in the US, you'll get nothing but the glory and personal satisfaction of participating. As for everyone else – I wish you good luck and see you at the finish line!
