Alpari Aims to Lure Clients with Improved Trading Conditions

Russia-headquartered FX broker Alpari has been pretty active lately in terms of promotions aimed at attracting clientele: after the somewhat controversial campaign “Goodbye to swaps” launched in February, the company also boosted its service offering by introducing three new types of ECN accounts at the start of this month.

On top of these efforts, the broker has announced improvement in its trading terms and conditions, starting from May 13: and the move includes some very nice changes like cuts in spreads.
That's right – after slashing minimum spreads in February, the broker is now proceeding with even more radical axing. Unfortunately, the reduction does not affect all sorts of accounts - the standard MT4 accounts, for example, are not benefiting from the change. But if you have an ECN MT4 account, you'll be pleased to find out that the spreads for major currency pairs have been reduced.

You may recall that in February the broker slashed spreads to as low as 0.3 pips for majors, but after the latest change these spreads are lowered to 0.1 pips for pairs like the EURUSD and the EURCHF; and to 0.2 pips for pairs like the GBPUSD and EURGBP.
Be careful though as the above mentioned figures are for minimum spreads, while the typical spreads are higher: for example, for the EURUSD pair, typical spreads are 0.4 pips.

Alpari has also introduced changes in swap rates – as you know, swap is the interest that a trader pays or is being paid for keeping a position open overnight. And as you know, swaps work both ways – they may be in favor of the trader or against him. Alpari has improved swap rates, depending on account equity: the improvement for accounts with equity of $3,000-$5,000 is 5%, then rises proportionally, reaching 40% for accounts of $1 million - $5 million.

Adding to the list of better terms, interest rates on unused funds are increased, and for RUB-denominated accounts they stand as high as 8%, but that's for accounts with equity between RUB 1 million and RUB 5 million. The perk applies only to a restricted set of account types: standard.mt4, standard.zulutrade, ecn.mt4, ecn-new.mt4, ecn.zulutrade and ecn-new.zulutrade.

Last but not least, Alpari continues with its tradition of cutting commissions by reducing those on ecn.mt4, ecn.zulutrade and pamm.ecn.mt4 accounts to as low as $4 but that's only for accounts of $1 million - $5 million.

Obviously, this broker cannot get tired of promotions and various incentives – let's see whether traders pick that up.
