Cypriot Forex Business of EXNESS Starts Operations

EXNESS, the Forex broker originally registered in New Zealand, announced on Friday that its new Cypriot business: EXNESS (CY) LTD, officially started operations.
The company obtained a license (no. 178/12) as a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) from the Cypriot regulator – the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) nearly a year ago, on September 5, 2012, but the new business was not engaged in any FX activities during quite some time.

Now, with the official launch of operations, the new company will provide financial services only to citizens of countries belonging to the European Union. The company has a physical office in Limassol: at Yiota Court, Makarius III, Avenue 134, app. 101, 3021; hence those who wish to visit the premises may do so and convince themselves of the brick-and-mortar presence of the FX broker in the country.

The business is now open for registration of new clients and you can easily become one if you visit the dedicated website: www.exness.eu. And if you check out the website of EXNESS now and then, you must have already spotted the announcement about the new website of the new business entity:

There is hardly any doubt why EXNESS has picked Cyprus as a location for its new business: FX brokers in the country enjoy a loose tax regime, no limits on leverage, easy registration procedure with regulators. The island has been a home for brokers like XEMarkets, FXPro and Liquid Markets. In May, New Zealand registered Roboforex also announced the acquisition of a CIF license from CySEC.

Let's just hope that the latest regulatory chaos, caused by the Commission's indecisiveness on whether to require FX brokers to obtain necessary authorization from watchdogs in third countries, will not push away such business from the island.
