easyMarkets launches Bitcoin CFDs

easyMarkets, a global forex broker regulated in Cyprus and Australia, announced it is launching CFDs on Bitcoin, joining the global trend among the forex brokers.

Trading in the new instrument can be done 24/7, with a leverage of up to 1:10 and a minimum deposit of $100. Additionally, easyMarkets guarantees stop loss, take profit levels and that a client’s trades will be executed at the price displayed on the trading platform, even during periods of market volatility and provides negative balance protection. The broker also offers an educational comprehensive bitcoin ebook that explains the basics.

“The excitement surrounding recent record highs in the cryptocurrency markets has now evolved into intense interest in the future of digital currencies like Bitcoin. easyMarkets’ expansion into cryptocurrency CFDs is driven by increasing demand from our clients and we want to give them the option to explore the most fascinating asset class to emerge in years”, said Evdokia Pitsillidou, Director of Risk Management at easyMarkets. “As most traders already know, Bitcoin was the world’s first decentralised currency and, until recently, it could only be traded on a Bitcoin Exchange. With the advent of our cryptocurrency CFDs, that’s no longer the case. Our clients can now speculate purely on the price movement of the underlying asset, utilising leverage to increase their positions if they wish to”, she added.

easyMarkets (previously Easy-Forex) is the trading name of Easy Forex Trading Ltd. – a Cyprus-based brokerage, established back in 2003. It provides its services in over 160 countries worldwide, offering trading in 175 products ranging from currencies, CFDs on indices commodities and metals, as well as options and forward contracts.

Easy Forex Trading Ltd, doing business as easyMarkets, is licensed and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC, license No 079/07), and its Australian subsidiary - EasyMarkets PTY Ltd. - is authorized and regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).

easyMarkets is the latest “traditional” forex broker to expand its portfolio with digital currencies with one type of instruments or another.

Some, like ThinkMarkets and FxOpen started offering CFDs. Others, like XM, are offering trading in Bitcoin itself.

Other forex brokers offering various instruments with digital currencies are eToro (offering crypto copyfunds and the tokens themselves), AvaTrade, HYCM, Admiral Markets, Fibo Group, Alpari, JFD Brokers, IG, IC Markets, Grand Capital, FXTM, FxPrime, to name a few. Earlier this week RoboForex also launched CFDs on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
