A Chance to Travel to Australia and Win $1 Million With Easy-Forex

Summer is coming and it's the time of the year when we are all starting to get a bit lazy, a bit dreamy and altogether ready for a break. Hazy dreams of sunny beaches, clear skies and cocktails on the beach are already clouding my poor, work-laden mind. So you can imagine the way my ears perked up when I heard broker easy-forex was promising to send two people and their buddies to Australia, and give them money to boot!

I assure you, these aren't the lunatic ravings of a mind that has been sitting out in the sun too long... it is, in fact, the award for the winner of the current easy-forex $1 million Trading Competition. The two best performers in this event and their companions will be given free luxury trips to Australia to watch the last home game of the Australian National Rugby League’s Canterbury Bulldogs (who are sponsored by easy-forex) in Sydney. The trader in the number one spot will be given the chance to win a million bucks by kicking a rugby ball around during half-time. Neat, huh?

What's more, this is not your regular old run-of-the-mill, whoever-has-the-biggest-balance-wins type of contest. Apparently, according to easy-forex, it's not the size of your account balance that matters. Instead, the broker will be judging contestants by the number of profitable round trip trades, compared to the total number of round trip trades they make. The contest is open for both new and existing account holders, and will last until July 31, 2013. In order to qualify for a prize, a trader must have a minimum of 50 completed trades. The Canterbury Bulldogs' game will take place between August 30 and September 2, so the winners should expect a call from easy-forex sometime in mid-August, to arrange travel details and stuff. Keep in mind, though, that if you are or have been a professional rugby player at any point in your life, you will not be eligible to win first prize.

As already mentioned, first prize consists of a trip to Australia for two, tickets for the rugby game and a chance to kick your way to $1 million during half-time. Even if ball-kicking isn't your thing and you fail, you still get a consolation prize of $20,000. The person in the number two spot will also travel to Australia with a companion of their choice and watch the game. They will also be given $5,000 in trading credit, to be added to their trading account. Unfortunately, this money will not be eligible to withdraw.

Sounds intriguing, doesn't it? At the very least, it would save you the effort of figuring out where you want to go for your vacation. I know I for one wouldn't mind some broker offering to send me here or there to relax and have fun. Both IronFX and HY Markets took up this initiative in the beginning of the year, sending people to Monaco and the Caribbean, respectively. It's certainly good to see other brokers following in their footsteps and making our summer even more interesting.
