Myfxbook Integrades the cTrader ECN Forex Trading Platform

Jul 17 2013

Myfxbook is still trying to solve its MT4 connectivity issues and works hard on that, however this is not the only thing the social trading network has been occupied these days: it has just expanded its reach by adding the cTrader true ECN platform.

Speaking of the connectivity issues – these are supposed to be fixed now, however Myfxbook warns that some users may be experiencing some hiccups. If you remember, about a month ago Metaquotes (the developer of MT4 and MT5) cut off the social network's access to its platforms, accusing it of hacking protocols but Myfxbook managed to find a work-around solution and get its MT4 auto update feature up and running.

But back to cTrader. Apparently, the push for adding it came not from Myfxbook itself but rather from its users – as the network explains, there has been a really strong demand for cTrader and Myfxbook simply delivered upon its members' expectations. The end result is more than good – clients of cTrader brokers are now able to enjoy and benefit from Myfxbook's full range of features and capabilities.

In order to integrate cTrader, the social network worked closely with Spotware, the publisher of cTrader, and extended its gratitude to the Spotware team, which seems to have made things as easy and smooth as possible.

“Users have been asking for Myfxbook services almost since we first launched. Now thanks to the work of their great team, Myfxbook and cTrader have been fully integrated, and our traders can use their unequaled trade analysis and money management systems,” commented a Spotware representative.

Myfxbook and cTrader accounts can already be linked without installing any additional software, the neatest possible option. To connect your two accounts, you should simply go to the settings area of your Myfxbook account, then select cTrader from the drop-down menu and wait to be redirected to Spotware's website. At that page you select which account(s) you wish to link, wait a few seconds for the process to be completed and that's it.

The addition of cTrader will probably help Myfxbook attract a whole new crowd of traders looking for a place to share their experience, insight and ideas. It was just a couple of weeks ago when the Australian broker IC Markets reported about a strong core community forming around cTrader, “stealing” some of the MT4 traffic, and I believe that this will soon form as a global trend. After all, cTrader is the superior platform, especially for ECN trading, and Metaquotes' totalitarian actions are not helping the Metatrader platforms either.

Furthermore, cTrader is not the only new addition to Myfxbook's list of supported platforms – FXCM's TradingStation has been added as well; it seems to me that Myfxbook is gearing up to tie all loose ends and expand its offering to the point where being cut off MT4 no longer matters too much.
