Boston Technologies adds oil, natural gas, copper to its FIX API solution

Oct 22 2014

In addition to launching CFD trading, Boston Technologies clients will now have access to Forexware's XW Trader

Boston Technologies Powered By Forexware, today announced that it is introducing several major updates to its FIX API solution. The upgrades will help the company better serve the needs of its growing customer base. The new updates include the integration of Forexware's XW Trader solution, as well as a feature provides the ability to trade contracts for difference (CFDs).

With the upgrade to FIX API version 4.4, Boston Technologies will launch CFD trading in 16 new contracts including CFD's tied to major global financial indices and global commodities, including crude oil, natural gas and copper. A full list of the CFD's available through the FIX API can be found here.
"Our new and improved FIX API solution demonstrates Boston Technologies' commitment to innovation in the Forex industry," said Natallia Hunik, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Boston Technologies Powered by Forexware. "We will continue to invest in the development of tools and solutions that help traders maintain and enhance their edge in an increasingly competitive and technology driven market place."
The company's FIX API solution currently supports two order types: LIMIT FOK (Fill-Or-Kill) and Market orders. Fill-or-kill orders help trading clients prevent price slippage when executing large orders and when trading during times of high volatility.
In addition to launching CFD trading, Boston Technologies will also offer several other new features. Following the company's acquisition by Forexware, LLC this past July, clients will now have access to Forexware's XW Trader. Using this solution, customers can view their corporate accounts, accounting reports, account status and real-time pricing. The solution also allows clients to place manual orders through their corporate account.
The new FIX API functionality will launch on October 20, 2014 and was previously only available through its MetaTrader 4 platform.
