Pips Tricks: The New Best US Forex Trader on ZuluTrade

Today we'll be reviewing Pips Tricks, the new best trader from the United States on social Forex trading platform ZuluTrade. It's actually quite nice to see a newcomer from this mighty Forex destination, especially after the leading position has been occupied for so long by Newwave – a giant in terms of capitalization and number of followers. Pips Tricks still lags behind Newwave in terms of funds and copiers attracted but thanks to other factors like performance, he is at the forefront of the pack. After 52 weeks of activity on the network, Pips Tricks has succeeded in gathering total funds of $176,714 from his 146 followers – along with his successful trading results, this makes him 3rd in the comprehensive ZuluRank.

Strategy

Pips Tricks is trading with a range of currency pairs, with the majority of trades conducted with the EUR/USD pair, followed by GBP/USD. The trader seeks to benefit as much as possible from trends: he opens a series of positions in tune with a trend and then closes them in tune with a preset take-profit level. We have a couple of potential problems stemming from this approach: that the number of open trades may be rather high or that the trades may be held open for quite some time – sometimes up to a couple of weeks. As a result, substantial drawdown may be accumulated. In the past, the number of positions held open simultaneously had reached 29, but recently the SP has changed the strategy to limit the number of open trades. Since April 2013, the count of open positions has not exceeded 12.

Performance

Since the launch of the account on ZuluTrade on November 4, 2012, the SP has generated a very high profit of 20,385 pips. And you can see from the photo below that the curve is nicely rising with  only a couple of dips changing the landscape.

The maximum drawdown is at 2,960 pips, which is a small percentage given the current profit amount, but may be a problem for someone who has started to follow this SP recently.
The average pips per trade are at 20 pips, which is quite nice, given tat we recommend any reading above 5 pips. The strong result in this respect signifies that the system is resilient to surprising market swings and trading peculiarities like slippage. Have in mind though that slippage for Pips Tricks is lowest with FXDD MT, AAAFX, and FXSOL UK.

Winners and Losers

We've already mentioned that Pips Tricks does not have many followers – only 146, but a substantial proportion of them, 52%, are live ones. This is the number of people who have entrusted   at least $672 (wow!) into following this guy's signals. From all live followers, 26 or 52%, generated profits from copying the trades of this signal provider, while only five people lost money. However, the size of profits is negligible – even the highest one is relatively humble at $138, while the biggest loss is at $315.

Verdict

The fact that Pips Tricks has emerged as the best SP amid 989 rivals from the United States suffices to recommend him as a solid trader to copy. Of course, the requirement for an initial investment of at least $670 is a hiccup for some traders. On the other hand, the results are solid and the system is robust – it's worth of your attention.
