Best US Forex Trader on Zulutrade: Newwave

This is the second of a series of reviews that we'll be doing in the weeks to come, based on the nationality of ZuluTrade's most successful traders. After examining the work of Russian account Storied Seller, currently the network's second ranking system, today we're turning our sight east, to the Land of the Free, to bring to your attention America's absolute best ZuluTrade signal provider up to date – four-and-a-half-month old Newwave. Newwave is not only the most accomplished SP among his fellow countrymen but he's also got the entire competition beat on three of the most crucial performance indicators: he's boasting the highest amount following, holds first place in terms of ranking and has more copiers than any of his colleagues.

In fact, it's not the first time that we're discussing Newwave. Our first review of the system was published in late May when it was beginning to climb up the ladder but wasn't nearly as prosperous as it is at the moment. Back then, Newwave was running under 2 million dollars in trading capital, a figure which has now skyrocketed to more than $11,600,000. Naturally, his followers shot up as well from 1,600 to 8,926. And it seems quite obvious what attracted them so much – on one hand, the very solid results that Newwave has achieved, and on the other, the kind of money he's bringing to the people copying his signals. At the time of our review, the system's most profitable follower had pocketed a sum of around $4,000 whereas today the one that made the most out of Newwave's services, an account registered with Sunbird, got $131,000 richer.  Quite a bit of improvement in that department, indeed.

And talking about improvement, another indicator that went up, albeit just a pip, is average pips per trade – from 10 to 11 pips. This, of course, is the result of Newwave's higher success rate, from 80% in May to 81%. From 869 executed transactions up to date, 711 had a favorable outcome, bringing a total gain of 9,760 pips. Other aspects of his performance over the last month that we find admirable is that he's managed to keep the maximum of simultaneously open positions at 6 and even more importantly, that he's outperformed the system's February record of close to 2,170 pips in profit. The new record stands at almost 2,800 pips and was generated in May. Given the numbers above, it comes as little surprise then that max drawdown has not increased and remains at the low level of 861 pips. Consequently, neither has the minimum equity one needs to invest in order to benefit from Newwave's services, it still stands the modest sum of $222.

So if you weren't intrigued by Newwave's work back in May but think you are today and would like to follow him, consider a few changes that have taken place as this trader's copiers increased and ZuluTrade aggregated more data. If at the time we first reviewed Newwave, the system was most suitable for live account holders, registered with HotForex, AAAFX or GOFOREX because slippage with those brokers was the lowest, the current statistics shows that that's no longer the case, at least not entirely. AAAFX's clients are still quite privileged as first, they're not paying commission and second, there's virtually no slippage when copying Newwave. With FX Optimax, on the other hand, users will be paying just 0.03 pips in execution delay but there's also a fee for trading via the network of 1.5 pips per copied transaction. As for ADS Securities, these costs stand at 0.04 pips and 1 pip respectively. Well, if you still don't have a live registration and insist on following Newwave, it's no brainer that your best option is AAAFX – no slippage, no commission. Do take into account the broker's spreads, though, as they can be a bit high.
