FxPro abandons its SuperTrader social platform

Obviously, major European forex broker FxPro no longer offers its social trading platform SuperTrader. Although the broker has not made an official statement on the issue, we have noticed that  its social trading terminal SuperTrader is no longer present among the platforms offered FxPro on its website and that the webpage dedicated to this social service is no longer accessible. You can still find information on SuperTrader in FxPro’s FAQ section on its website, though.

Launched in October 2013, SuperTrader was an automated investment platform allowing traders to build their own portfolio of strategies and access the FX market without having to trade manually. The minimum investment amount for FxPro SuperTrader was $2,000, which probably was a bit high for many investors. Furthermore, SuperTrader clients had to meet a capitalization requirement of $10,000, for which FxPro offered the SuperTrader Credit Line - a credit multiplier (of up to 4x).

Does the popularity of social trading wane? Probably not. The biggest social trading services providers, eToro and ZuluTrade, continue their operations. Some new players, like Trade360, have also appeared on the social trading scene. CySEC-regulated Trade360 introduced an innovative method in the world of online trading, called Crowd trading.

While it is not clear why FxPro decided to shut down its social trading service, this broker is one of the few that are really committed to providing their clients with new ways to invest in the financial markets. Earlier this month, FxPro has announced the launch of anew spread betting platform, called FxPro Edge (in the UK).

FxPro is regulated jointly by Cyprus’ Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and UK’s FCA. The broker operates as a Hybrid Agency Model broker, offering Negative Balance Protection and enabling clients to access top-tier liquidity. It offers complete services for all retail forex market segments, as well as trading in futures, indices, metals, shares, and CFDs on a selection of trading platforms, including MetaTrader 4 and 5 and cTrader.
