The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has granted an investment and ancillary services license to the company General Capital Brokers (GCB).
There is not much additional information, but, according to the announcement, the company is allowed to receive and transmit orders on financial instruments and execute orders on behalf of clients. Usually, this is the license granted to forex brokers.
The website of GCB (gcb.com.cy) still does not provide much information about the services that are going to be offered by the company. The risk warning at the bottom, however, suggests that this indeed is going to be yet another Cyprus-based forex broker.

Cyprus is one of the preferred destinations for forex and binary options brokers who want to offer their services in the EU. The CySEC requirements are somewhat less strict than those of UK's FCA, for instance, but a Cyprus license covers the entire EU under the passporting rules.
