Client feedback is driving the development of IG’s new web platform

In a note to its clients, IG, one of the largest forex, CFD and spread betting providers, announced some key features of its new web platform, as well as tools which are currently in development. Chief Digital Experience Officer, Ivan Gowan, says that the new ProRealTime platform now offers a faster, clearer, and smarter way to spread bet and admits that client feedback is driving its development.

On the new platform, IG’s spread betting account holders are able to:

-Open, close and edit positions in just a couple of clicks;

-Deal directly from the charts;

-Split charts to view the same market across multiple timeframes simultaneously;

-Customize workspaces by market, for everyday dealing, or ahead of major events;

-Apply a range of indicators (100+ technical indicators) and drawings without sacrificing speed or stability;

-Use smart settings that remember deal sizes and stop values;

-Get breaking news via Reuters and Twitter, and see what stocks are trending among IG clients.

Mr. Gowan further explains that IG has been working on the new platform for 9 years already and that the company is receiving large number of messages as feedback, most of them positive. As IG‘s main objective is to give people exactly what they want, the development team is working hard to answer to clients’ needs. For example, some clients complained that the colors of the charts are too bright and as a result, a new dark theme was recently launched. Besides, Signals center is coming soon, as this is a priority for a lot of IG’ s clients.

Currently the platform is only available for spread betting accounts. CFD and share dealing accounts will continue to use IG’s classic platform until later in 2017.

The new web-based platform supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, and Safari (Mac only). The broker recommends that clients use Google chrome for optimal performance and stability.

Previous week IG launched CFD trading and spread betting on the eventual IPO of the technology company Snap Inc. In October, 2016 the broker enhanced its MT4 platform with 18 bespoke apps.

IG offers a selection of robust platforms: its proprietary IG platform, web-based ProRealTime, a special DMA platform – L2 Dealer, as well as the industry’s standard MetaTrader 4 (MT4).

IG is a financial services provider with over 40 years’ trading experience. It was the first company to launch spread betting, and it also offers trading in contracts for difference (CFDs), forex, stocks, bonds, binaries, and Bitcoin.

IG Group’s lead regulator is the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), but its subsidiaries are also regulated by the relevant authorities in the countries where they operate (Australia, Japan, South Africa, UAE and Singapore). Besides, IG is listed on the LSE, and is a member of the FTSE 250.
