Zuercher Capital Review - is zuerchercapital.com scam or good forex broker?

RATING: 1 / 0 REVIEWS Zuercher Capital
Zuercher Capital is an offshore broker. Your money is not safe.

Basic  EUR 250 N/A 2 pips
Silver  EUR 2 500 N/A 2 pips
Gold  EUR 25 000 N/A 2 pips

Zuercher Capital presents itself as a cryptocurrency trading platform. Although this is not exactly clear from the website, the broker actually offers trading in forex and various CFDs, including on wide range of digital assets like Bitcoin.

Clients of Zuercher Capital may select among the account types listed above, plus Platinum & Diamond one, which we haven’t listed, as they require an initial investment of at least 100k. Unfortunately, the broker has not shared with the public any trading essentials, such as the spreads, leverage levels provided, etc. That being said, this is not the most serious disadvantage of this broker. We have reasons to believe that Zuercher Capital is a scam company.

Zuercher Capital Advantages

Plethora of markets covered, many payment methods accepted

While we would not recommend Zuercher Capital, there are still some possible benefits of using this broker, provided that it isn’t a fraudster. Their offer is very broad in terms of assets available for trade: currency pairs, CFDs on indices, commodities, stocks, cryptocurrencies, as well as futures.

Besides, Zuercher Capital accepts a lot of payment methods: Credit/Debit card, Giropay, Sofort Banking, Paysafecard or Bank Wire.

Zuercher Capital Disadvantages

Unclear corporate situation, not regulated

We could not find the name of the company owning the Zuercher Capital brand anywhere on its website, which is very alarming. It means that the service provided by this broker is anonymous. There isn’t any information about the broker’s headquarters either, and, not a single word is mentioned about regulation. This, of course, means that Zuercher Capital does not hold a valid forex broker license

Regulatory warnings against it, media reports that it is a scam

What makes us 99% certain that Zuercher Capital is a fraudster is the fact that the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has blacklisted it, and we also found out that the broker is in the focus of media reports and allegedly investment fraud investigation.

Austria`s FMA warned the public that Zuercher Capital is not entitled to carry out banking transactions in Austria that require a license, and is not permitted to trade in financial products on its own account or on the account of others.

We also found that a major UK tabloid has made a thorough investigation of Zuercher Capital and reports that this broker is a typical clone fraud scam, targeting people in the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The media also claims that Zuercher Capital is in the focus of investment fraud crime investigation by the UK police.

No MetaTrader

This is not such a serious disadvantage, as previous ones, but we will mention it nonetheless. Instead the industry’s standard MetaQuotes’ software, Zuercher Capital uses a web-based trading solution that may seem simple and functional, but lacks many of the tools and perks of the MetaTrader4.

This web platform even doesn’t have proper technical analysis indicators, let alone automated trading bots. Here is a preview (click on the imagr for a larger view):

Spreads not that good

As you can see from the above image, the spreads offered by Zuercher Capital actually aren’t that good. Not that it matters of the broker is a scam. Yet, the benchmark EUR/USD spread is around 2 pips, while most brokers offer spreads within the range of 1.0 – 1.5 pips for this pair. The BTC/USD spread also isn’t attractive – floating around $85.

Conclusion

Zuercher Capital is a very shady broker that clearly focuses in cryptocurrencies. The broker shows the typical signs of a scam: Its trading offer, as well as corporate situation, are far too unclear; it is not licensed and has been blacklisted by Austria’s financial regulator; on top of that, there are media reports exposing Zuercher Capital as an investment fraudster.

That being said, you’d better stay away from Zuercher Capital and any other unregulated brokerage firm. Most of them are scammers who will rip you off ruthlessly and there is little you can do to get your money back.
