Vow Markets Review - is it scam or safe?

Vow Markets Review - is scam or good forex broker?

RATING: 1 / 2 REVIEWS ForexBrokerz Vow Markets
Vow Markets is an offshore broker. Your money is not safe.

Vow Markets is a MT5 broker that hasn’t revealed any trading conditions, nor information about the company operating the brand. Although this broker shows every possible sign of investment scam, we will still try to point out some potential benefits for its clients, as we always strive to be objective.

Here are our impressions of Vow Markets, after we made a thorough research on the company and tested its platform. Make sure you read it prior to investing with this shady broker.

Vow Markets Advantages

MT5 available

For all its faults, Vow Markets at least supports the popular MetaTrader5 platform. This is a well-developed trading solution, featuring all functionalities of the MetaTrader4, plus some more perks. Both platforms support an algorithmic trading option, which allows you to run automated trading sessions with the help of specially designed, customizable Expert Advisor bots.

Vow Markets Disadvantages

Anonymous and unregulated broker

Despite our thorough research, we did not find any information on the website regarding the registered address, the supposed company behind the operation, nor even the country of origin. Vow Markets has provided some only a number in the UK, but actually anyone can get a virtual phone number with any country code, so it’s not that important. What matters most is that the company operating the brand is not mentioned anywhere on the broker’s website.

Such anonymity makes this financial services provider seem utterly unreliable. Whoever is the entity behind the website, it is not bound by any laws, nor falls under the oversight of any governmental authority. This is a huge red flag, because it means that not only Vow Markets is not regulated, but that the services provided by this broker are totally anonymous.

No information on trading conditions, account types

On top of the missing corporate information, Vow Markets has not revealed any trading conditions, not even the minimum initial deposit required. So, potential clients are unaware of the trading costs, the leverage levels provided, transfer fees, etc.

Fortunately, there is an option for any potential client to try out the broker’s Mt4 in demo mode, which leads us to the next point.

Unrealistic demo spreads

When we tested Vow Markets’ MT5 in demo mode, the benchmark EUR/USD spread was as low as 0.0 – 0.1 pips on EUR/USD, and no commission fee applied.

If trading costs are the same in live trading environment with real money involved, there is no way for the broker to be profitable. That is why, we assume that the lack of commission fees and the tight spreads on demo accounts are just a trick to attract new clients.

No CFDs on stocks (on demo)

When we tested the broker’s MT5 in demo mode, we also noted that some popular instruments are not present in its product portfolio. More specifically, the broker offers trading in Forex, as well as CFDs on gold, silver, some indices and Bitcoin. Yet, CFDs on exchange-traded stocks, for which the MT5 is especially popular, are not available. This is not a major flaw, but we decided to mention it nonetheless.

Vow Markets is an unregulated brokerage that seems to target mainly Chinese investors. Given all the things we have listed above, this forex provider will probably rip you off, if you make the mistake of investing money in an anonymous website.

That sad, there are plenty of brokerages licensed by reputable authorities. Governmental agencies such as the FCA in the UK or ASIC in Australia are renowned for their strict oversight, which means that clients of companies under their gaze can trade with the ease of mind that their money is sound and safe.

To sum up our impression of Vow Markets in a few words:

No information on trading conditions, account types
  Unrealistic spreads
  No stocks CFDs
