NB International Review - is nb-international.com scam or good binary options broker?

RATING: 1 / 3 REVIEWS NB International
NB International is an offshore broker. Your money is not safe.

NB International offers trading in binary options in cryptocurrencies via several account types, but its website fails to mentions essential trading conditions. Instead, the broker promises some monthly returns and other details of lesser importance. That is why we included in the above table only the Standard account type.

What is worse, NB International is not licensed, and was blacklisted by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK, which is the main reason why we gave it such a low rating.

NB International Advantages

Decent choice of coins

The only possible advantage of NB International we could think of is that the binary options broker offers traders the opportunity to trade in a wide range digital coins. Its product portfolio includes BTC, ETH, LTC, RRT, ZEC, XMR, DASH, BCC, BCUXRP, IOTA, EOS, OMG, NEO, BCH, BTG, QTUM, and others, which can be traded against USD, EUR, other cryptos with expirty times ranging from 1 min to 1 year.

NB International Disadvantages

Not regulated, blacklisted by the FCA

Although NB International claims to be based in Dublin and mentions the laws of the United Kingdom as a governing law in its Terms and Conditions, it is not licensed by the local FCA. Instead, the company behind the operation, Options Tech Limited, is registered in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Forex brokers in Dominica are not subjected to any regulations, nor oversight, which means that its clients are open to a number of risks.

On top of that, we found out that the FCA in the UK has issued a warning against NB International all the brands operated by Options Tech Limited - Unitedmarkets4you, UBS Investment, Cryptex Markets and Block Chain Exchange Pro. This is a major red flag and inclines us to believe that Options Tech Limited is running some sort of serial scam scheme, which is not uncommon in the forex and binary options sphere.

Trading conditions not disclosed on website

Another worrisome sign regarding NB International is that the latter reveals no essential trading conditions, as we mentioned in the opening paragraphs of this review. More specifically, the broker has not mentioned any payout percentages, minimum bet size, etc. This is also very typical for scam brokers.

Excessive initial deposit, payouts not that good

The most basic Standard account type at NB International requires an initial investment of 2,500 GBP, which is a high entry threshold. By comparison, most forex and binary options brokers require $250 or less as a start, including regulated and well-established financial intermediaries.

Besides, when we logged into the broker’s web-based platform, we say that the maximum payouts offered are 80%, which is not impressive by any standards. Most binary options brokers offer at least 83%.

Limited product portfolio

Another thing we noticed while testing NB International’s platform is that the broker offers trading exclusively in cryptocurrencies. There are no CFDs on commodities, indices, ХДИ stocks.

Conclusion

NB International is an unregulated binary options broker offering trading in cryptocurrencies. Its offer is not clearly presented on its website, but our investigation on the matter revealed that it is not that good anyway. More importantly, the broker and the company behind it are blacklisted by the UK’s FCA for illegally targeting local investors.

That being said, we’d like to remind you that the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) enforced a total ban on all binary options bets in the European Union in July 2018, which makes NB International operations on the territory of the European Union illegal.

As always, we advise investors to deal only with licensed brokers and to check whether the they are really regulated in the respective jurisdictions. Also, it is a good idea to do a due diligence check before you deposit and google the broker name to see whether there have been warnings against it or user complaints.

NB International going into liquidation

I have some funds invested with NB International, not a lot fortunately. They contacted me in July to say they are going into liquidation and to access my funds I needed to pay a 20% release fee, so they could obtain my funds from the trading platform 'CYSEC'. I would be very interested if anyone else has found this and what happened?

Absolute Scam

The fraudsters who used the name NB-International Ltd have disappeared - the whole set up
was a big ugly scam.

liars Swindlers and Thieves

Yes I traded with the for over a year. Got loads of phone calls from Oliver James Passmore telling me how good trading was going making me lots of money and getting a quarterly dividend. That stopped and the site shut down and the phones stopped being answered. About three weeks later they were back on line but under new management. I asked for my money back, no chance unless I payed them 20% of the account up front. Theyclaim that my money is safe and are still tradingmy account. Their addresses are fake so I assume my money has gone.
