Ivest Financial Advantages:

Wide variety of currency pairs

Ivest Financial is offering trade with 59 forex pairs, including exotic currencies such as Chinese Yuan, Russian Rubla, Singapore Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Swedish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Danish Krone, Mexican Peso, Turkish Lira, South African Rand, Czech Krona, Hungarian Forint and Polish Zloti. The broker also offers CFDs on commodities and stocks, as well as futures, but does not offer  any crypto currencies. Here you can check our list of brokers, offering Bitcoin:

Sound regulation

Ivest Financial is registered in Cyprus and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under the license number CIF 332|17. CySEC is a member of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and gives the broker a free passport to operate in all EU countries.

In recent years Cyprus, along with the UK and Australia became magnet for the forex industry around the world, because of its well balanced regulatory regime, offering both security for investors and operational flexibility for the brokers.

CySEC regulated brokers have to abide by strict fiscal and ethical rules, ensuring transparency to all transactions with clients' money. In addition licensed brokers should maintain at all times at least 730 000 EUR operational capital and also have to keep all clients funds in a segregated, protected form creditors account.

And last but not least CySEC regulated brokers are obliged to participate in a clients protection scheme according which if a broker files for bankruptcy traders can receive back up to 20 000 EUR of their capital. Brokers licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the UK had to participate in a similar insurance scheme as well. Here you can check our list of CySEC regulated brokers:

Competitive spreads

When tested with a demo account the EURUSD spread was between 0,2 and 0,3 pips without a commission for the trade, which is pretty impressive. Still you may want to check our list of brokers with competitive spreads:

MetaTrader 4 offered

The presence of MetaTrader 4 is always an advantage as the platform is well known to most traders. MT4 integrates advanced technical analysis instruments consisting of 50 indicators, as well as excellent charting tools. Its main advantage however is the option for autonomous trading where you can create your own indicators and trading bots on the propriety programming language MQL4/5 and also run simulations using historical data. Here you can check our list of brokers also offering the MT4 platform:

Variety of payment methods

One can deposit and withdraw funds at Ivest Financial with Visa and MasterCard, Skrill and via bank wire. Other popular e-wallets such as Neteller and PayPal however are missing. Here you can check our list of brokers offering Neteller as payment method:

Ivest Financial Disadvantages:

No information about a minimum deposit requirement

There is no information on Ivest Financial website about the minimum deposit requirement to open an account and that might discourage potential customers. With most brokers in order to open a standard account you will have to deposit roughly 100 USD, while with some big names, such as XM and FXTM you can open an account with just 5 USD.

Just one trading account offered

Ivest Financial  offers just one trading account type and that is a clear disadvantage as most brokers offer different account types to accommodate the different trading styles of their clients. Some brokers for instance offer a Micro Account with a minimum trading size of just 0,01 lot or 1000 base currency units. Here you can check our list of brokers offering a Micro Account:

>>Micro Account Forex Brokers<<

No swap-free Islamic account available

Unlike Ivest Financial, some brokers offer a swap-free or Islamic accounts, where you do not pay an interest for a position that is left overnight. While this option fits some trading strategies better, the main idea is to accommodate Muslim traders, who under the Sharia law are not allowed to take or pay interest. Here you can check our list of brokers, offering swap-free Islamic accounts:

Conservative leverage

When opening a Demo Account with Ivest Financial we were offered a maximum leverage of 1:50, which is rather conservative and yet is in line with the new regulations, adopted in the US and very close to the limit that will be applied for all EU countries by the end of the year. Most CySEC regulated brokers however offer experienced traders better leverage after they prove their skills and that might be the case with Ivest Financial as well. Still some brokers offer much more generous leverage levels. Here you can check our list of brokers, offering leverage of up to 1:500 and above:

>> Brokers offering at least 1:500 in leverage <<

Conclusion:

Ivest Financial is a CySEC regulated broker and that should give traders peace of mind investing their money with them. Another positive is the MetaTrader4 platform as well as the competitive spreads we were offered with the Demo account. Still the lack of information about the minimum deposit is a bit of a setback.
