Trading Accounts and Conditions

To be added in the future

Emporium Capital is a newly-launched Cypriot broker, who hasn’t started operations yet. Therefore, we will add information on its trading conditions and account types in the future. The broker promises tight spreads and No-Dealing-Desk execution.

Emporium Capital Advantages

Solid regulation

The most important thing to look for in a forex broker is credibility, i.e. a license issued by a reputable financial authority. Emporium Capital offers just that. The company behind it, Emporium Capital K.A Limited, is a Cypriot Investment Firm, operating under license number CIF358/18, issued by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

CySEC regulation provides a decent level of security and reliability, as it involves a number of requirements to CIFs. They must meet solid capital adequacy requirements, to keep client funds separated from company assets, to report their transactions, and to provide negative balance protection, among other things. Besides, Cypriot brokers can provide their services in any EU member state under the MIFID regulations.

TWS platform offered

Emporium Capital’s platform of choice is quite surprising. Instead of supporting MetaQuotes’ software, the broker offers Trader WorkStation (TWS). This is a platform with impressive charting capabilities, lots of order types, various efficiency-raising trading tools, and its own automated trading environment. It is one of the preferred options for investors, who look to create a long-term diversified portfolio. Investors can trade forex, CFDs and various exchange-traded instruments, such as stocks, ETFs, futures and options (real options, not the binary type).

NDD execution

Emporium Capital claims it doesn’t have a dealing desk and that won’t hold counter position to its clients. This means no conflict of interest and is definitely an adavantage.

All trading strategies allowed

According to the information on its website, Emporium Capital does not restrict its clients in terms of their trading strategy. Hedging, scalping, and use of automated trading systems are all allowed by the broker.

Emporium Capital Disadvantages

Not operational yet

Although you can open a paper account with Emporium Capital, it still does not offer real trading, which is an obvious disadvantage. Nonetheless, the broker has already opened an office in the center of Nicosia will soon start operations.

MT4 not supported

As it already became clear, Emporium Capital uses the Trader Workstation (TWS), which is as solid platform, yet some traders will probably find it not so user-friendly. For sure, many will miss the availability of the industry standard MetaTrader 4 (MT4) , which is highly praised by the forex community.

The MT4 has an intuitive interface, great charting and is especially popular for its Expert Advisors used for automated trading. Besides, its programming language is quite easy and tech savvy traders can develop EAs and indicators of their own.

Conclusion

Emporium Capital is a Cypriot broker that has not launched operations yet. Yet, it seems that it will offer wide range of financial instruments for trade on the TWS platform with NDD execution and tight spreads.

The strongest selling point of this broker is the CySEC license, which means solid level of credibility. Cyprus is one of the most popular online trading hubs in Europe and on a global scale, although the new ESMA restrictions have made things more difficult for regulated brokerages.

To sum op the strong and weak sides of Emporium Capital in a few words:

Pros Cons
CySEC license Not operational yet
TWS platform, wide range of assets covered MT4 not supported
NDD execution

All trading strategies allowed
