What we think about City Index

City Index Limited is among the biggest Forex, CFD trading and spread betting providers in the UK, offering ultra-tight spreads on a variety of platforms. The spreads are both fixed and variable, depending on the time of the day during which you trade. The spread on indices is at 1 point, whereas the fixed spreads for currency pairs are also lucrative starting at 1 pip. You don't have to worry about variable spreads either, as there is a cap on them.

What we appreciate most about City Index's execution mechanisms is the way a trader can control slippage. Thanks to a Price Tolerance tool, a trader can set a limit on acceptable slippage – we don't have to put up with excessive slippage anymore.

The trading conditions are excellent, with maximum leverage at 1:400 and the minimum deposit requirement at GBP 100.

City Index prides itself with the variety of trading platforms it offers. The list includes Advantage – a proprietary platform of the broker, which comes in versions for PC and the web. There are also a raft of mobile trading applications, including ones for Android and iOS-based gadgets. Forex trading is possible through the Metatrader 4 platform, which the broker offers for download. One live FX account will give you access to all platforms and apps.

City Index is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and, hence, provides its clients with solid protection of their rights and money.
