Alliance Investment Limited presents itself as a cryptocurrency investment company based in New Zealand. It offers three investment plans, but has not disclosed essential trading conditions, such as the spreads, leverage provided, etc.

As you have probably guessed by the rating we gave this broker, it is not recommended. Read on to understand why.

Alliance Investment Limited Advantages

Claims to offer trading in forex & cryptocurrencies

According to the information on its website, Alliance Investment Limited offers trading in several of the most popular cryptocurrencies, as well as forex. This is the only possible advantage of this broker we could think of, although we could not verify it. The broker even does not offer access to its platform, before you deposit any funds.

Alliance Investment Limited Disadvantages

Not licensed, regulatory warning against it

Alliance claims that the company behind it, Alliance Investment Limited, is a licensed financial services provider in New Zealand. However, our search in NZ’s Financial Services register has returned no results. What is worse, we found out that the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) of New Zealand has included Alliance Investment Limited in its warning list of suspected scam brokers.

The FMA stated that this is an unregistered, unregulated entity that is falsely holding out as being associated with legitimate company. Furthermore, the regulator warned that it has the hallmarks of a scam.

Trading conditions unclear, no access to trading platform provided

As information (and especially lack of such) is a pretty solid criterion for judging a broker’s legitimacy, we have yet another reason to suspect that Alliance Investment Limited might be a fraudster.

The latter has not announced any spreads, nor leverage ratios provided. Its website only contains promises of certain returns on investment (ROI). The broker has not even revealed what trading platform it uses, nor does it offer any free demo accounts. What is worse, we could not get a glimpse of any trading terminal even after signing up for the basic investment plan (without investing any money, of course). We only got access to some dashboard.

High initial investment required

A minimum investment of $500 might not seem like too much to some of you, but it is a high initial deposit when compared to what most forex and crypto brokers require as a start. With most financial services providers, you can start with $100 or even less, and many of those brokers are licensed by reputable financial agencies.

Conclusion

Alliance Investment Limited is an investment intermediary launched in 2019 that seems to be based in New Zealand. There are far too many uncertainties regarding the broker’s trading conditions, and platform, but its greatest disadvantage is that it is not regulated. Furthermore, the FMA of New Zealand has warned the public against doing business with it.

Considering the large number of con-artists on the cryptocurrency markets that lure investors into depositing money by promising quick and easy profits, uou'd better avoid all unlicensed financial services providers. In case you are into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, you’d better trade them on regulated exchanges or with licensed forex brokers in the form of CFDs.
