ADS Securities is one of the largest brokerage by volume in the Middle East. It offers trading in a number of currency pairs and CFDs on commodities, indices, bonds and equities.

ADS Securities is an Abu Dhabi based and owned international financial services company with offices in London and Hong Kong.

The company behind the brand, ADS Securities LLC, is licensed by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates to act as a financial and monetary intermediary in the conduct of financial and monetary brokerage business for the sale and purchase of currencies and intermediating in money market transactions as permitted in accordance with applicable law.

The Central Bank of the UAE regulates the business of intermediating in the sale and purchase of domestic and foreign stocks and bonds, currencies and commodities, as well as intermediating in money market transactions. It is also responsible for the licensing of such intermediaries.

According to the UAE regulations, the intermediary should be a UAE citizen in the case of natural persons, and national shareholding should not be less than 60% of total paid-up capital in the case of companies. The regulations further set a minimum capital requirement of one million dirhams, two million dirhams or three million dirhams according to the scope of activities the intermediary intends to conduct.

The broker also has a London-based subsidiary,  which is licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), as well as a Honk Kong unit, which holds a type three license with the Securities & Futures Commission (SFC), allowing it to trade leveraged FX.

Trading Conditions

Minimum Initial Deposit

Traders are required to deposit $100 in order to open an account with ADS Securities, which is an average minimum initial amount.

Average Spreads & Commissions

This broker offers both fixed and variable spreads, and charges no commission fees. Unfortunately, we find both of them above the average for the forex market. Most fixed-spread brokers provide spreads of 2 pips for the EUR/USD pair, while ADS securities’ spread is 2.4 pips. Furthermore, the broker’s the typical floating spreads amount to 1.6 pips on EUR/USD, and most brokers offer spreads within the range or 1.0 – 1.5 pips for this pair.

One more thing – we tried out ADS Securities MT4 demo and we found out that spread there is fixed at all times at 1.7 pips for the EUR/USD.  We also looked at the user reviews on the Forex Peace Army website and most of them are not positive. Many traders claim that this broker is a counterparty to their trades (acts as Market Maker) and a bucket shop,.

For further information and comparison, you may look up real-time spreads of 15 leading brokers here.

Maximum Leverage

ADS Securities offers leverage up to 1:400, which is a comparatively high ratio. Nonetheless, many forex brokers offer leverage equal to or exceeding 1:500.

Leverage allows traders to gain large exposure to diversified markets with a relatively small amount of invested capital, however it is healthy to keep in mind that the higher the leverage level, the higher the risk.

Trading Platforms

The main trading platform offered by ADS Securities isthe popular MetaTrader 4 (desktop only available). Besides, it provides its in-hoise developed mobil application, called OREX.

MT4 is the most popular forex trading platform, because users are able to entirely automate their trades by choosing from a wide range of Expert Advisors (EA) and let the program do all the work. What is more, it offers a variety of technical analysis indicators, extensive back-testing environment and advanced charting package. Here is a list of more forex brokers offering MT4 platform.

Available for both iOS and Android, OREX Mobile allows you to trade 60 currency pairs and over 1000 CFDs whenever and wherever you are.

Methods of Payment

Clients of ADS Securities are able to make deposits and withdrawals via credit or debit card payments, bank transfers, and e-wallets Skrill and Neteller.

Conclusion

ADS Securities (operating the www.adsprime.com site for retail clients) is a leading Middle East brokerage, offering forex and CFDs trading. Unfortunately, its spreads are above average and we suspect it is utilizing a Market Maker model. Here are, in a nutshell, the advantages and drawbacks with regards to this broker:

Pros Cons
Regulated brokerage Wide spreads
Commission-free trading Supposedly a MM
MT4 available No ECN environment
High leverage levels

ADS Securities UK

Regulated broker with long history of doing business in forex industry. Good trading conditions and fast registration. Quite fast execution and no requotes, so did not have many problems with them. My manager is very skilled and professional.
