DGT Market is a new Polish cryptocurrency exchange that offers trading in Bitcoin and Litecoin for PLN and LTC/BTC.

DGT Market advantages

- Anonymity. Those who wish to trade on the LTC/BTC pair, do not need to verify themselves with DGT Markets. However, for fiat trading above the limit of PLN 10 000 (around USD 3000), one needs to provide a copy of an ID document, or the deposit and withdrawal option for fiat currencies is disabled.

- Several types of orders. DGT Markets offers the option to place several types of orders, in addition to the simple buy and sell order – limit orders, stop orders and market orders.

- Low Fees. DGT Markets charges a trading fee of 0.35%, which is not very high, compared to other Polish exchanges. The deposits in call currencies – fiat and crypto are with no fee and so are the withdrawals in PLN. Withdrawals in BTC cost 0.00045 BTC and in LTC - 0.003 LTC, which are supposed to cover the network fees.

- Symbolic withdrawal limits. DGT Markets has set minimum withdrawal limits of PLN 10, 0.001 BTC or 0.01 LTC, respectively. Those limits are fairly symbolic, in fact.

- Nice Platform. DGT Markets offers a nice trading platform with some charts and charting tools, an order book and recent transactions.

- Good Speed. DGT Markets says the cryptocurrency transactions only require one confirmation on the network, which makes trading on its platform quite fast. Most exchanges use at least two confirmations.

- Monthly user contests. DGT Markets holds monthly contests for traders with the highest BTC/PLN trading volume.

- Good Security. DGT Markets says it stores most of its funds offline, with only a small portion kept in an online hot wallet, in order to ensure operational liquidity. The company also uses encryption of all data, makes backups of all data and has CloudFlare to protect its servers from DDoS attacks.

DGT Market disadvantages

- Few Coins. Compared to other Polish exchanges like BitBay, the offering of DGT Market is quite limited.

- Location. Obviously the services of DGT Markets are only available in Poland.

- Low Liquidity. According to Coinmarketcap, there is not much liquidity on DGT Markets, except on the BTC/PLN pair, which is the only actively traded on the platform. But even its volume is quite low.

- No leverage. Like most cryptocurrency exchanges, DGT Markets does not offer leveraged trading on its instruments. Traders who wish to engage in trading on margin, should rather sign up with a regulated forex broker who offers CFDs on cryptocurrencies and use the better trading platforms and more features provided by those companies.

- Limited payment options. The only payment option DGT Markets provides is through a bank transfer, which is can be somewhat inconvenient and slow, considering that the bank transfers take time.

Conclusion

DGT Markets is a new cryptocurrency exchange, so we should not judge it too harshly. It seems the intentions are good and the platform has a lot of potential, as long as it is developed and expanded.

What we like the most are the low fees for all services and the decent platform. However, there are too few deposit options and coins to trade in.
