I have been trading around 2 years and have only been with FXCM.
I do have some complaints and some praise for this firm.
Firstly, I tried spike trading and the first few trades were very profitable and then the slippage was just to much to risk.
I would be slipped well past the spike and lose money, I spoke to FXCM and they said they had no control over this it was their liquidity providers. I cant comment on that because I do not know?
Anyway I stopped spike trading and started using afterspike retracement. i recently took a trade and my TP stop was reached and trade was not closed my profit target was 1000 and the trade actually reached 6000 plus profit howeve i tried to close the trade manually at least 20 times to no avail, the trade dropped to a 700 loss and I was then allowed to close.
I contacted FCM with regard to this, and they did an internal investigation and agreed with me and paid me the loss plus the 1000 ptp target profit.
I really have no idea if brokers slip or liqidity providers.
Whenever i have withdrawn funds from FXCM the have arrived promply. I feel we all have a gripe but not sure who it is with.
